How you can help
The New Zealand Companion Animal Health Foundation (CAHF) doesn’t receive government funding and relies on financial donations from pet owners, veterinarians and companion animal clubs and societies.
Your donations help support the development of improved diagnostic tests and better treatment options for New Zealand companion pets.
Types of donations
When you donate money to the CAHF you can indicate which area of research you'd most like your financial contribution to go to. The CAHF trustees, who decide which areas of study will most benefit the health of companion animals and allocate grants, will note your preferences.
- Donation in appreciation
The high quality veterinary care available to your pet is the direct result of the diagnostic and therapeutic advances made through research into the problems of companion animals. You can acknowledge this past research and contribute to today and tomorrow's generation of pets by making a gift donation.
- Donation in memory
Most pet owners eventually face the loss of their faithful companion. You can acknowledge the relationship you have enjoyed and pay tribute to a lost friend through a memorial donation.
- Donation by bequest
You can support CAHF by including a bequest in your Will. Speak with your solicitor or other person who has prepared your Will and ask for CAHF to be included.
